About Marcus Dods - Piano Tuning
Coming from a musical family, I have spent my whole life in and around the music world. I spent 17 years working in events and stage management at the Royal Academy of Music in London and then trained with Clive Ackroyd, head of Piano Technical Services at the Academy and at Yamaha Pianos in Milton Keynes.
Based in Markyate, near St. Albans, I have regular appointments tuning for private clients, recording studios, schools, churches and performance venues in London and all across the home counties.

I provide professional tuning for all makes of piano, uprights and grands.
Many factors, such as humidity and the length of time since its last tune, influence whether a piano stays in tune and for how long. Therefore, every piano is approached individually - so it is best to discuss your piano and how I can help to get the very best out of it.
Prices start from £70 for a standard tuning, based on location. Further tuning services, such as a pitch raise, will incur additional charges, but no work would be undertaken without assessment and your agreement. If your piano needs repairs please do get in touch to discuss how I can help.
It is recommended to get a piano tuned twice a year for optimal performance and stability.
